2 weeks ‘till SUMMER!!!

Wow the time has been flying by.  I have one more week of classes and then finals!!! I cannot believe summer is almost here, and I almost have the whole summer break off.  I am taking two summer classes in July, which I’m not really looking forward to.  I am also planning Manda’s graduation party in May.  I am planning a girls canoe trip in June. 

On Friday, I went to my first dietetics conference.  It wasn’t half bad.  I got to miss a full day of classes.  At the conference, I got a bunch of free stuff as well.  I had to get up pretty early, and that was no fun.  When I got home, I went to bed pretty early.

Yesterday, I got to have an awesome girls day with Steph and my mother-in-law.  We spent the day in Hot Springs shopping.  I couldn’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday.  I got the cutest pair of leopard print flats for $4.99.

I really haven’t been up to much more.

What I’ve been up to…

Well, I have been pretty MIA recently. Sorry to those few that read this blog.  Since I am so far behind, I am just going to put a bunch of pictures on here with captions.  Here goes nothing. 

Tyler and I went fishing on the weekend of Easter.  Tyler got the first catch of the day.

This was just one of my catches.  He was a little booger.

I did end up catching the biggest fish that day.  I also got a sexy farmers’ tan.

A girl couldn’t ask for a better Saturday.

On Sunday, I decided to cut up the turkey.  Scary at first, but I did awesome job (me tooting my horn).

Last Tuesday, I got a new scholarship.  It was just a little one, and I had to go to two award ceremonies.

Last Friday, after a great dinner with dad, Manda, Macen, Tyler, and I drove out to the Blow Hole. 

It this pretty cool place at the base of a lake’s dam.  The culvert pictured above shoots out water and air.

My sweet hubs is so SWEET.  He sent me this text one day while he was working.

In other news…

My baby sister had her senior prom last week.  Hopefully, I can get some of those pictures up soon.  She was absolutely beautiful!!!

School has been CRAZZZYYY!!!  I am counting down the days until summer.  I turned in 2 big projects on Wednesday.  I have a test tomorrow and probably the biggest project yet due on Tuesday.  Going to be a fun next couple days.    

A Little Weekend Wrap-Up!!

So, I went home this past weekend for one main reason.  I was getting the chance to see my baby sister’s senior pictures.  I can’t believe she is old enough to have senior pictures!!!!!  After we had spent an hour and half picking out our favorites, I was in the mood for some fishing.  Manda and I got out our one fishing pole out and tried to find some worms.  Macen showed up with another pole;  we gathered up our worms and walked to the closest pond on dad’s land.  We spent about fifteen minutes there.  Manda spent most of the time trying to catch a giant tadpole.  Then, we walked to another pond.  Then, we gave up on fishing and walked down to the creek.  There we spent some time catching some rays.

On Sunday after church and lunch, I came back home to the Delph.  I had a friend invite me over for fried deer steak and turkey meat.  It was so yummy.  Before I left, my friend’s boyfriend fixed me a to go tubberware.  I had the leftovers today for lunch.  I think it was even better than the night before.  I almost chipped my tooth on this little find.  Wild game is so much to eat!! You never know whatcha gonna get!!!

I got of school today at 3:30.  Then, I had some errands to run.  By the time I got home, a storm was a brewing.  When I got the last of the groceries upstairs, the sky broke loose.  For the past 2 hours, I have been sitting at the computer fixing some homework.  I am done.  I am bought to call it quits on being productive and finish watching the ACMs I recorded last night.
