Too Random To Name :)

Last week was pretty laid back.  Except for the fact that I had 2 tests.  Luckily, I passed them both.  Yay Me!!!  I am so excited that I am over half way done with this class.  However, at the same time I am a little sad because I know that I am that much closer to my fall classes.  But, then I get excited because I get to start my dietetics class.  My emotions are such a rollercoaster ride.  I didn’t accomplish much last week except for dirtying up the house.  It looked horrible.  However, by the middle of the week I cleaned a little and Tyler did the majority.  I am such a lucky woman to have a man who cares how the house looks.  He actually is cleaner then me.  :)

Tyler and I also clipped Daisy’s toenails.  They get long so fast, and since she doesn’t go to the groomer’s, it is our responsibility.  I think she got mad at us because she was a little terror after that.  She destroyed 2 pieces of  my clothing, dumped over the bathroom trashcan and “played” in that, and took 2 toothbrushes out of my suitcase and chewed them up.  Needless to say, I was about ready to leave her with my dad for the week.

This weekend was pretty chill.  We didn’t do much at all.  We had a Harry Potter mini-marathon at Tyler’s parents’ on Saturday.  Then Saturday evening, we played charades with his family.  I did take one picture that evening of Tyler and the little man.  However, Christopher is a little blurry because he can’t sit still anymore.  I have realized that it is very difficult to take a good picture of a moving almost 2 year old.  He loves to jump on “bubba’s” back.

On Sunday, Tyler and I helped my dad move his boat from 1 trailer the other.  It took the majority of the day and boy was it HOT.  Anyways, Tyler and I didn’t get home to Arkadelphia till about 8:30 only to find a puddle of pink fluid under my car.  As the sun went down and we lost daylight we finally realized the coolant was low and there was a leak somewhere we couldn’t see.  Luckily, I am getting it fixed tomorrow and hopefully there won’t be any more problems for a while.

I am going to start reading the Harry Potter series thanks to Steph.  She has let me borrow her books.  I am really excited and would love to purchase the complete set for myself someday.  I have only read the first chapter of the first book but am so in love.  :)  I hope I can continue to find time so that I can read all the books.

During the summer, good tv shows are hard to come by.  However, Big Brother is on.  I haven’t watched every season but enjoy watching it when I can.  (Thanks to dVr, I don’t think I will miss much.)  I love the fact that it comes on 3 times a week.

I was reading Kelly’s Korner the other day and noticed her mention Pinterest.  I have joined the site and think that I will really enjoy it.  It is very interesting but I have not yet figured it out completely.  The idea of the website is that you can find things like crafts, foods, decorations, etc.  When you find something you like you can “pin” it.  That way you can reference back to it on a later day.  I hope that I can figure it out soon so that I can really use it.

Switching gears…

On the way home last week, I took these shots with my iPhone.  The clouds were just too pretty to pass by unnoticed.

Trying To Catch Up

I can’t believe that I haven’t blogged since the 4th of July.  Honestly, I haven’t had many exciting events going on.  I started my last summer class.  I am taking chemistry and it is such a pain.  I currently have an 88%.  Which is good.

With that out of the way, I guess I can start sharing all the random things that have happened. (which aren’t that exciting)

I was standing in line for the pharmacy and ran across these Boogie Wipes.  When I saw the package, I giggled out loud and am pretty sure others thought I was crazy when I took a picture of them.  Boogers are a huge fear of mine.  I hate the thought and look of them.  I love my little nephew so much, but if he has a booger, he is quickly handed to the nearest person.  :)  Boogers REALLY gross me out.

Daisy has had a pretty lazy summer so far.  She is always cracking me up with some of her sleeping positions.  I took this picture in Mena.  I know it is kind of blurry, but she has her head stuck in between the entertainment center and the wall.

In my class, we get to have a few breaks.  The class is from 9-1 Monday-Thursday.  So a break is always much needed.  During one break, I was sitting outside with some classmates when we spotted what looks like a hawk.  I tried to get some photos.  If you can tell what it is, then feel free to correct me.  It sat there for a long time while a handful of students walked by.

This past weekend, Tyler and I along with the rest of my family went to my cousin Matt’s wedding.  He married an excellent women, Aspen.  They are a perfect couple.  I wish we lived closer to each other so that Tyler and I could have a young married couple close.  The wedding was so sweet.  My family went and stayed with family in Wright City.  It was fun hanging out with the relatives.  My Aunt Marsha and Uncle Jim followed my dad back to Mena for the rest of the weekend.  It was really nice seeing them since they live in Arizona, and I only get to see them once in a blue moon.

Today, Tyler and I took a spontaneous trip to Texarkana to see the final Harry Potter and eat Olive Garden.  I was happy and sad at the same time.  I just recently became a Potter fan, and I am sad that it is over.  I haven’t read the books yet but look forward to starting them soon.  I took this picture to show how upset I was that I would never have a movie ticket to a Harry Potter again.

4th of July Weekend

My weekend started on Thursday.  Tyler and I drove to Mena and had a fish-fry with his parents.  It was so yummy.  You gotta love fried food.  I took and passed my management ob final.  I made an A in the class.  Yay!!  Anyways, when Tyler and I got home Thursday night, we found a critter.  It was pretty interesting because he was coming out of his shell.  I tried to get a good picture.

Friday, Tyler had to work, and some how I ended up alone at my parents’ house without my car.  Therefore, I decided to work on my tan and catch up on my magazines.  While I was tanning a butterfly landed on my leg, so I snapped a pic.

I finally made my way over to the Speer house.  While I was sitting on the back porch, I snapped this pic of the clouds.  I thought they looked cool.  I hung out at the Speer house until Tyler got off.

Tyler and I didn’t accomplish much on Saturday.  We went swimming with Steph and Stephen.  We had a lot of fun.  Sunday, Tyler and I went to church, then Papa’s, and then to his parents’ house.  We celebrated the holiday with his family there.  We had an amazing cook-out with tons of goodies.  After dinner, we attempted to play croquet.  :)  However, it ended up too dark, and we ended up in the house playing cards.

Today, we celebrated the holiday with my family.  Dad grilled steaks while mom made everything else.  Oooo man did I leave the table stuffed.  Manda, Macen, Tyler, and I pretty much just goofed off the rest of the day.

I was writing this blog when I noticed a red tint coming through the window.  I got up to take a beautiful pic of this sunset.

sunsetOverall, the weekend was good.  It went by way too fast, but it was a nice break.  Tomorrow, I start my second class of the summer.  I will be happy when August 4th rolls around.  I will have a few weeks off before school really starts.  I already have plans for those few short weeks.  I hope everybody has had a nice, safe, and enjoyable weekend.
